At present we have babies from the age of 6 weeks up to 24 months in the nursery. We have the one house for the Baby Centre, that accommodates 30 children.
The babies stay in the nursery up to the age of between 24 and 28 months, depending on whether they are ready to join the toddlers (2-3 year olds). Each child is different, so some move as early as two years, while others only move at two and a half years.
This is an ideal location for the Baby Care Centre. This will be the first dedicated Baby Centre in the Empangeni/Richards Bay area catering only for tiny babies from birth to 3 years.
We are open all school holidays to assist the parents who work full time and cannot take school holidays. We provide breakfast, snacks and lunches. These are healthy and nutritious meals.
Everything has been set out to provide a safe and secure environment with dedicated staff who have been working with Gentle Hearts for the past 5 years. We do continuous in house training with the staff.
Our children are in a home from home environment. Lots of love and attention are the order of the day. We have six staff working here at present with 20 children.
We offer stimulation and learning through play. We have indoor and outdoor playrooms. We also have a large grassed garden for running around.
Our children are taught to enjoy music and dance from when they start to move.
We have a good relationship with the doctors at the Garden Clinic and, if necessary, we always have direct access.
